In general terms, the great advantage of using laboratory clamps is that they facilitate the technician, laboratory worker or student to carry out various processes at the same time, leaving their hands free. Thus allowing greater comfort and safety when using tests and experiments in biochemical processes.

Uses of the Burette Clamp

When conducting a chemical experiment or test in the laboratory, specifically precision testing, it is necessary to use a buret clamp. This piece is generally used in assemblies , such as distillation and titration processes.

The burette clamp is fixed to a support by means of a double nut that ensures its firmness, in case of complex assemblies. Also these tools can be fixed to a frame or grid to hold cylindrical rods, funnels, among others.

Implementing the use of buret clamps will facilitate the holding of materials by being able to adjust them, according to the precise angles. It also allows you to double join, which prevents the burette from twisting or bowing, a likely situation when using a thick laboratory clamp.

Double-clamp forceps, or Fischer forceps, are the most widely used, as they have a grip at two close points that prevent the burette from bending, especially when using a thick laboratory clamp.

This part contains a small opening angle, however the thread pitch is large, perfect for fitting small instruments such as burettes, pipettes, test tubes.

  • The buret forceps have an internal layer covered with PVC , cork, or felt material that avoids direct contact of the piece with the instrument to be used.

Importance of the Burette Forceps

Buret forceps are essential equipment in a chemical laboratory , their correct operation provides more precise and safer results for those who use them.

When mixing chemicals with high heat flux, it is necessary to take some precautions and the burette clamp is the ideal tool because by correctly fitting the buret in the clamp, you prevent the liquid from spilling. You can also have greater precision if it is about distillation and titration processes .

Plastic tweezers are not very resistant in high temperature processes, therefore the burette tweezers have been made of metallic material, which guarantees greater resistance, even in processes with high thermal conductivity.

Using the buret tweezers is very simple, however when using them it is advisable to properly adjust them to the support, correctly tightening the screws on their sides, in this way you will avoid accidents.
